Mary Louise Carter was born on March 18, 1955, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late James and Lillian Carter. She grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the strong values of family and faith that shaped her life.

After earning her degree in education from Georgia State University, Mary devoted more than 30 years to teaching elementary students, inspiring countless young minds with patience, creativity, and care. She had a special gift for making each child feel seen and valued.

Mary married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Carter, in 1977, and together they built a beautiful life grounded in love and community. She was known for her warm smile, her Sunday dinners, and her deep compassion for others.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Carter; their children, Michael and Danielle; grandchildren, Lily and Cameron; her sister, Angela Carter; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Thank You

The Carter family thanks everyone for the outpouring of love, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your condolences and shared memories mean more than words can express.
